Microblog: Ways to Support Detox – Lymph

Microblog: Ways to Support Detox – Lymph

Our heart has a pump which helps the blood constantly circulate.

❗️Our lymphs don’t have that luxury.

🏃🏻‍♀️So we need to MOVE.

⚠️The only way that lymph can move is through exercise, breathing and muscular contractions.

🛡A healthy lymphatic system is key to immune health. The lymphatic system helps protect the body from infection against bacteria, fungi, viruses, and toxins.

❗️And there’s more lymph in our bodies than blood.

💦The lymphatic system is a network of thin tubes, fluid and lymph nodes.

🤺The lymph nodes are the factory for white blood cells (lymphocytes) that make antibodies that defend against infections.

🛡The thymus, spleen and bone marrow play key roles in the lymphatic system’s function.

THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM:
🔅distributes fluid and nutrients in the body
🔅prevents tissues from swelling

And removes:
✖️toxins
✖️heavy metals
✖️cancerous cells
✖️other waste products
out of the body.

❗️A healthy lymphatic system NEEDS healthy digestion, kidneys and a healthy liver.

🐌A sluggish liver likely means a congested lymph system. (liver health is key!)

😮‍💨When the lymphatic system is congested, cells become deprived of oxygen and the body is unable to detox properly.

💤And if you’ve ever heard why SLEEP is important for detox: here’s why

🌟It’s the GLYMPHATIC SYSTEM.

Our brains do most of its detoxification while we’re sleeping.

🧠The brain has its own internal detoxing system called the GLYMPHATIC system. So when we sleep the brain gets rid of toxins and waste that can cause neurological disorders.

❗️The glymphatic system is TEN TIMES more active during sleep as opposed to when we’re awake.

💤Just another reason as to why SLEEP is CRITICAL for optimal health.

💡Support the lymphatic system with movement and diet (and the glymphatic system with sleep).

🦸🏻‍♀️There’s no better way to help the body’s immune and detoxification systems.

🥩Eat meat-based. Jump. Sweat. Sleep. Repeat.
