Microblog: Spotlight Sunday Is with @j0hqeatingomad

On Sundays, I spotlight one of your inspirational carnivore stories to share with the community. It takes a village and in this case, it’s this amazing tribe.

If you’ve ever searched on #Carnivore75Hard, you most likely seen @j0hqeatingomad’s posts. Take a look at her page, it’s quite impressive. She’s definitely in the running as a #Carnivore75Hard finalist.

🔦Spotlight Sunday is with @j0hqeatingomad
I started my weight loss project in 2015 when I realized I had become severely obese: my BMI was over 40. I wanted to lose 40 kg and began by reducing carbs and later started a high fat keto diet. It took me 3 years to lose 46 kg to get to a normal BMI. I wanted to find a way to maintain and tried intermittent fasting, first 16:8 and since June 2018, OMAD (one meal a day).

Carnivore has intrigued me for some time but #Carnivore75Hard finally got me started.

WHAT CARNIVORE HAS HEALED:
The first 3 started during keto with high oxalate foods.
🥩 Reduced hair loss and growing new hair
🥩 No more joint pain in fingers
🥩 Raynaud’s kind of symptoms (fingers turning white) have possibly stopped
🥩 No cravings
🥩 Weight loss and probably my way of maintaining

TIPS FOR CARNIVORE:
1️⃣ TRACKING MACROS & CALORIES: I love tracking. I want to make sure I get my macros right: 75% of fat & 25% of protein. Also I want to make sure I eat enough but not too much. With OMAD & Carnivore tracking, it’s effortless.

2️⃣ SHARE YOUR SUCCESS. I love to tell everyone about my achievements & how I eat. Most people are interested in hearing what I’m doing. I do get some criticism but it makes me more confident of my own way of doing things. When everyone knows, it’s easier for me to stay focused & resilient.

3️⃣ LOW BUDGET CARNIVORE: It doesn’t need to be ribeye every day. Eggs, organ meat, ground beef, fatty pork & fish are often cheap options.

🐄Some say these are just anecdotal stories. I say, maybe. But there’s no harm in trying carnivore. If you have physical and mental symptoms, try it. Worse case, you can always go back to your current diet. Or you may just join our carnivore tribe and be part of the “not-valid-science,” body of anecdotal stories that meat heals.♥️
