Se-Zyme Forte contains 100 mcg of water-soluble selenium per tablet. You would use it with free radical conditions to increase the production of glutathione peroxidase, as a synergist to vitamin E, in thyroid hypofunction where the T3 Uptake is decreased, for cardiac stress, pancreatic dysfunction, fibroids and cysts. Not only are they water soluble but they are yeast free.
Selenium is in the product Thyrostim because we know that the conversion of the T4 molecule to the T3 molecule depends on the presence of selenium. A selenium deficiency will frequently be seen in blood tests as low T3 or low T3 Uptake, with a normal T4.
This is not an uncommon finding, and it is a strong indication of selenium need. In these cases, extra selenium (SE-Zyme Forte) is generally indicated in addition to the amount available in Thyrostim.
Dosage:
One (1) each day as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a health care professional.
