Phases of Liver Detox

Our body uses detox pathways to eliminate or neutralize toxins. If your detox pathways aren’t functioning optimally, toxins accumulate and your body becomes overburdened (read: unwell).

💡One of the best ways to reduce toxic exposure is by avoiding them.

The more common toxins to avoid are moldy buildings, heavy metals, and plant-based foods grown and dried in pesticides and herbicides.

⚠️Another way to reduce the toxic load on the body is by what we eat.

🛡If we reduce a lot of the toxins going into our mouths (including ingredients in foods), we can reduce the overall toxic load to the body.

❗️We fear a lot of toxins. But it’s the overall load that we should focus on, rather than the individual parts.

🗑Once we remove a lot of the toxic exposure, we can then focus on opening up the body’s detox pathways to support toxin elimination.

And while this infographic focuses on the toxin removal via stool and urine, we can also detox via:
🔅our lungs (breathing out)
🔅skin (sweat)
🔅lymphs (electrolyte balance, rebounding, IR therapy)
🔅mental and emotional (spiritual, boundaries, vagal tone)

🏆We need strong liver function as there are over 500 roles the liver plays for ideal function, including:
🔅breaking down proteins to amino acids
🔅producing ketones
🔅producing bile
🔅converting T4 to T3
🔅storing excess nutrients

💰There are many fancy things you can do support the liver and detox pathways but the easiest one is to clean up the diet and remove most foods with ingredient lists.

🥩And if you eat only fatty meat, you’ll have less of a toxic load and more of the nutrients needed to support the detox pathways.

🍊Yes, even the antioxidants.
