Microblog: The Methods on How to Reduce Your Stress

Reducing stress is not easy. But if you’re always in a flight or fight state, you can’t digest foods properly. The digestive system works best in a rest and relaxed state.

🥴So when we eat on the run or eat when we’re chronically stressed, we are breaking down our gut health. And I’ll keep saying this until we can all recite it together but over 70-80% of our immune system is in our gut and most nutrients are absorbed in our gut.

💡When we have poor gut health, we have poor health.

🥩Nutrition: Nutrition is key to optimal health. If you don’t have the proper building blocks to make the body, then you really are off to a bad start. No amount of sleep, movement or other hormetic activity is going to strengthen a body made of PB&J sandwiches. (HFCS, lectins, phytates, mold, GMOs, seed oils).

🔁It’s a vicious cycle. YOU decide what pair of emotional glasses you want to wear when you start the day. If your thoughts are negative, how positive are you going to act with any interaction or event that comes your way?

🧘🏻‍♀️Meditation: Starting your day with quite time and meditation can help focus on the right things. I talk about the powers of meditation in @CarnivoreCure. There are studies where meditation can increase your longevity by increasing your telomeres.

💨Your brain and body need oxygen to perform optimally. Stress leads to heavy, shallow breathing which in turn leads to even more stress. Deep, intentional breathing calms us down. This is one of the reasons why meditation is effective at relieving stress.

🏃🏻‍♀️Exercise: Exercise releases endorphins and releases any excess energy from foods and fasting. It is also a great way to detox our bodies and be in the present.

👥Community: We are meant to be a part of community. We THRIVE in communities. Our community can be just 2 but we NEED community. Laugh and connect. It’s good for the soul.
